GOSPEL AND SOUL, VOICE AND SOUL

« I’ve always said that I deeply love both French songs and American black music! »

As she was performing at Folies Bergères, Chimène Badi sang a Gospel version of Edith Piaf’s 3 bells. « On stage I felt a very powerful sensation and the audience’s reaction that ensued, confirmed the idea that this growing demand that it expressed, had to result in the creation of a Gospel and Soul II »

Chimène wanted this second opus to combine 6 new tracks and 6 covers. She hired six great writers in the current French repertoire. « It’s important for me to work with authors and composers that move me, and whom I totally trust to deliver me raw… more than mere Artists, confidants! » The album Gospel & soul, la voix et l’âme, will be released in the fall of 2024. It will be combined with a 2025 Tour throughout all of France.
