PRESENTATION

With this tribute to women, Anne Kessler embodies major feminine parts in Molière’s repertoire and enables us to see them as the metamorphosis of a woman over time, as her life plays out. Thanks to a long theatrical career, this actress chose roles that she had never performed before and which she embraces here in a common stride. This choice enabled her to create intimacy with the audience and to lead them for an hour through these condensed lifetimes, enjoying at the same time the gleeful joy of children playing at “let’s pretend to be this or that…”. At the center of a set with multiple nuances, Anne Kessler performs a theatrical gesture reminiscent of a simple outline, sketched out in space.
