Jane Birkin

Following Jane Birkin's success of Boxes (her first feature film as director), she is currently touring again with concerts. The tour is taking her abroad to Japan, across Europe, Canada and South America (end of 2007 until April 2008). Jane Birkin is also working on a new album (with her own texts for the first time).

Victoria Abril - On Tour

Victoria Abril is not only the actress discovered by Pedro Almodovar who has enchanted the entire French people. She also sings and dances. Her first album "Putcheros do Brasil" was sold over 110 000 times and accompanied by a triumphant concert tour. For her new album "O La La" which has just been released great French Chansons were transposed to a Flamenco version. Victoria Abril will also be once again on tour this summer and in autumn 2008. For this new show she is joined on stage by two guitarists, a percussionist, two Palmeros / singers / Cajón players and a dancer.

For the cinema, she has recently played alongside André Dussolier in the new film by Florence Quentin. In 2008 she will act in "Solo quiero caminar" directed by Agustin Diaz Yanes.

Agnès Jaoui - On Tour

Actress Agnès Jaoui wanted more than giving a singer's voice to the characters she normally interprets ("Le rôle de sa vie", "Comme une image" ...). Therefore, in 2005, she created a show sung in French and Spanish in which she was joined by a Latin group of musicians. These concerts led to her first album "Canta", released by the record label Tôt ou Tard in February 2006 and awarded with a Victoire de la Musique (and a Golden Record so far). The show was staged at the Trianon Theatre in Paris in November 2006 and has since then toured France, Spain and Portugal. The last concerts took place in November and December 2007.

For the cinema Agnès Jaoui has just finished directing her third feature film "Parlez moi de la pluie". Once again, she puts herself on stage in this movie and also plays opposite to Jean-Pierre Bacri and Jamel Debbouze. A new album and a new show are in preparation.

Mísia - On Tour

Mísia latest album "Drama Box" was released in May 2005. For the record and the show she brought together the three musical genres which have accompanied her since her childhood: Fado, Bolero and Tango. The show has toured over 15 countries including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Spain, Russia, Chile, Lithuania, Portugal, Great Britain, Argentina, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic.

2007 was an extremely rich year full of news and revealing Mísia in very different kinds of musical events:

- her new recital "Lisboarium",
- Kurt Weill's "Seven deadly sins" under Leopold Hager at the Opera San Carlo in Lisbon,
- the world premiere of "Saudades Symphoniques" (arranger and conductor Bruno Fontaine),
- her stage debut as "Maria de Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzolla under stage director Désirée Meiser at the Opéra San Carlo in Lisbon.

2008 is starting under the favourable auspices with a new series of concerts and the release of a first album under her new world-wide recording contract with AZ/Universal.

Julia Migenes - On Tour

Following the success of her last jazz album "Alter Ego" (Universal/AZ), Julia Migenes went on tour with an eponymous show. She was also triumphantly received in New York in the premiere of Hans Peter Cloos' show "Cabaret Schönberg" during which she interpreted "Le Pierrot Lunaire" by A. Schönberg.

For the 7th edition of the "Open Air Operas" Julia Migenes was asked to direct the staging of Gioachino Rossini's "The Barber of Seville". A number of performances took place amongst others at the Jardin du Sénat, the Château du Champ de bataille in Evreux (France) and the Château de Vaux le Vicomte. In November 2007, Julia Migenes completed a tour of classical recitals accompanied by Janine Reiss (who was Maria Callas' vocal coach for many years and who also coached Julia Migenes for the "Carmen" film).

Following this, she will perform in L'Heure Espagnole in Clermont-Ferrand. She is also working on a new album project dedicated to Hollywood Divas as well as on a theme show about Schubert. In 2008, Julia Migenes will sing with Placido Domingo and the Cairo National Orchestra at the Jordan Festival in Amman.

Fanny Ardant

In January 2008 Fanny Ardant is presenting the comic opera "Véronique", one Messager's master works, at the Châtelet Theatre in Paris.

A public reading project together with the cellist Sonia Wieder is in preparation.

Pink Martini - On Tour

Pink Martini's third album "Hey Eugene" was released on 15 May 2007. The release was followed by a European tour during which the top music group also performed for the French public at the Grand Rex Theatre in Paris.

A Live DVD should be released by Naïve very soon. A summer tour 2008 is in preparation (French festivals).

Luz Casal - On Tour

Luz Casal's unforgettable song "Piensa en mi" provided Pedro Almodovar with a singer's voice for actress Marisa Paredes. Ever since this success the public has filled her concerts. Two years after the release of "Sencillia Alegria" Luz Casal returned with the album "Pequenos, Medianos y grandes exitos" (EMI). This is a best of her most beautiful songs which also includes two previously unreleased songs, "Un Nuevo Dia Brillara" with Etienne Daho and "En Un Siglo Veras" together with Raphaël.

Her new album "Vida Toxica" which has already been released in Spain will be released in France on 16 March 2008. This will be accompanied by a series of concerts during the summer festival season.

Biyouna - On Tour

Biyouna is film director's Nadir Miknèche's favoured comedian. She appeared in "Viva l'Aldjérie" and more recently in "Délice Paloma" and in 2007 she has also appeared in the TV series "Aïcha" on Canal+.

On the music front, her album "Une Blonde dans la casbah" was released by Naïve in October 2006 and was unanimously welcomed by the press. On stages in France and abroad, Biyouna conquered a new public of fans in the last part of 2007. The year 2008 is promising rich new projects include a concert with Faudel, Khaled and Barbès National Orchestra at the "Nuit Algérienne" (Jordan Festival - Amman) on July 10th. Also this year, Biyouna will act in the film "Mauvais Garçon" directed by David Delrieux.

Ute Lemper

During her recent European tour, Ute Lemper gave a recital at the Salle Pleyel. The repertory was based on Berlin cabaret chansons, on songs from musicals and, for this occasion, also on French chansons. The CD / DVD "Blood and Feathers" (live recordings from the Carlyle Cafe) was released by VS Music in 2006.

Her new album "Between Yesterday and Tomorrow" will be in the stores in autumn 2008. It will be followed by a new show during the same season, notably at the National Theatre of Chaillot (Paris) in December 2008.

Lluis Llach

With an enormous emotion Lluis Llach gave his last concert in his native village, Verges in Catalogne on 24 March 2007. This last appearance in front of his deeply moved public was recorded and filmed. CDs and DVDs will be in the stores soon.

Jean-Louis Trintignant

Following more than 150 performances of his show "Appolinaire" Jean-Louis Trintignant is presenting "The Diary of Jules Renard" for which he is joined by three actors (Manuel Durand, Jean-Louis Bérard et Joëlle Belmonte). This reading is on tour during the entire season of 2007 / 2008 (at the Théâtre du Rond Point in Paris from 14 March until 19 April 2008, every day excluding Sundays and Mondays).

Patrice Chéreau

Following a tour of "Mausolée des Amants" by Hervé Guibert where he shared the stage with Philippe Calvario, Patrice Chéreau asked the Visiteurs du Soir to organise a tour. It is dedicated to the reading of "The legend of the Great Inquisitor" taken from Dostoyevsky's "Brothers Karamazov". For some time Patrice Chereau had been on stage next to Dominique Blanc in "La Douleur" by Marguerite Duras. He will now only ensure the stage directing because of his busy cinematographic schedule.

Lambert Wilson

Lambert Wilson was the narrator in Leonard Bernstein's operetta "Candide" at the Paris Châtelet Theatre in December 2006 and at the Scala of Milan in July 2007. This was under stage director Robert Carsen and conductor John Axelrod. His first album "Attaché" was very successfully released by Virgin last October. The songs were specially written for him by Marie Nimmier, Boris Bergman and Marc Estève amongst others. For the theatre he is directing and also playing in "Bérénice" together with Carole Bouquet, Fabrice Michel and his father George Wilson at the Bouffes du Nord theatre in Paris from January until March 2008.

Régine

Mademoiselle and her encounters... singing together with artists including Robbie Williams, Jane Birkin, Patrick Bruel, Paolo Conte, Bénabar, Fanny Ardant, Juliette, Arthur H, Boy George and Liza Minelli, Régine is currently re-recording 18 of her most successful titles. The release by AZ / Universal is planned during 2008 and she will be on stage with her show.

Edouard Baer - On Tour

In "La folle et veritable vie de Luigi Prizzoti", the trouble maker of the theatre, cinema and TV presented a delirious cabaret. He also participated at the Marathon de Mots festival in Toulouse with a reading of "Un Pedigree" by Modiano.

In 2008 he will be joined by his group of dancers, orchestra players and magicians and present his new show "Looking for Mr. Castang". A musical space trip or an unwedged humour are guaranteed! Following a series of shows at the Cigale Theatre from 8 January until 14 February, they will undertake a tour across France.

Lou Doillon

Lou Doillon saw a tremendous success with the reading of "Intimate Letters" at the Madeleine theatre from 6 March until 25 May 2007. For this programme he read love letters by Apollinaire, Piaf, Maupassant, Colette, Presley, Sade, Staline... The show has been on tour since November 2007. A number of new stage projects are in preparation. Also to note are his participation in the film "Boxes" directed by her mother Jane Birkin as well as her readings at the "Musiques Interdites" in Marseille, the "Festival Nîmes Culture" and the "Correspondances de Manosque" ("Lettres de Calamity Jane à sa fille").

Teresa Salgueiro

Teresa Salgueiro, the voice of MADREDEUS, is also perusing a solo career. A first solo album was released in December 2005 and she has just created her recital "La Serena". For this she is accompanied by the Ensembel Lusitânia and takes us on an international musical journey.

Le Cabaret des Hommes Perdus

"Christian Siméon and Patrick Laviosa invent a licentious cabaret about the astonishing destiny of a gay-X-movie star: when the grotesque touches the sublime... ". "Le Cabaret des Hommes Perdu" was staged at the Theatre of the Rond Point in October 2006 and at the Pépinière Theatre until 15 February 2007. It was highly acclaimed by the press and received 2 Molière Awards for best actor and best music show. The show is currently on tour across France and also available on DVD (release in December 2007).

Sami Frey

Sami Frey always presents a repertory of very varied readings: "The Manual of Epictetus", "The Beast of the Jungle" by Marguerite Duras, "The conversations with Jean Paul Sartre" by Simone de Beauvoir. Following the success of Samuel Beckett's "Cap au Pire" at the Theatre de l'Atelier in Paris (7 February to 18 March 2007) a tour across France is scheduled for the end of 2007 and early 2008.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

The 18 dancers presented a new programme at the Châtelet Theatre in March 2006. This included Les Sylphides, La Vivandière, Raymonda as well as some of their great classic performances such as Don Quixote, the Death of the Swan and Paquita. A European tour took place in November and December 2007. A new programme in Paris is planned to take place at the Châtelet Theatre in 2008/2009.

Paolo Conte - On Tour

Paolo Conte has returned to the studios to record his new album which is scheduled for release in January 2008. In June 2008 "Paolo Symphonique" will be performed for the first time in Lyons (together with the Orchestre Symphonique de Lyon under Bruno Fontaine) and two performances will take place at the Salle Pleyel (Paris) on 5 and 6 September 2008.

Woody Allen and his New Orleans jazz band

For many years Woody Allen joins every Monday his musician friends at the Carlyle Café in New York City. With the clarinet in his hands he takes a musical break from his rich cinematographic life. For the past five years Les Visiteurs du Soir organise once or twice per season a European tour for this unusual group from the Jazz planet. The latest European tour took place in December 2007. His next visit to the French Capital is planned for the second part of December.

Caetano Veloso - On Tour

Caetano Veloso is a living legend amongst the Brazilian tropical movement, a Bahian poet, an author, a composer, an interpreter and a guitarist. He is without doubt one of the most respected Brazilian musicians in the world. Following an album and a world tour with standards from the American song ("Foreign Sound"), Caetano Veloso returns with Brazilian songs. The new album "Cê" was released in autumn 2006. A European tour took place in September and October 2007 (including a concert at the Zénith in Paris on 9 October).

Diane Dufresne

New album and new recital end of 2008.

Her newest album "Effusions" will be in the stores in the coming months and a tour piano/voice will take place in winter 2008/2009 and include a series of concerts at the Bouffes Du Nord Theatre (Paris).

Fairouz

The voice of the Lebanon enthralled the audience at the Athens Festival on 7 July 2007. 5000 people from across the world applauded the legendary singer. A new album is planned for 2008 as well as a series of concert in France and across Europe.

Marianne Faithfull

Tour 2008 across France with a reading of Sonnets by Shakespeare, including an evening performance at the Odeon Theatre in Paris.

Charlotte Rampling

Tour 2008 across France with readings of "Chambre A Soi et Autres Textes" by Virginia Wolf. Idea and stage directing: Jean-Claude Feugnet.

Michel Leeb

Concert Tour 2008 "Hilarmonique". Works from the classical repertory and humorously redirected by Michel Leeb.

Hanna Schygulla

Tour 2008 in the Theatre work "Par coeur".

Temps des Gitans / No Smoking Orchestra

"Le temps des Gitans", the punk opera by Emir Kusturica will be on tour in 2008. His other music project, "No Smoking Orchestra" will also be shown in 2008 (exclusively abroad).
