Jane Birkin - On Tour

Following her world tour and directing her first feature film, "Boxes", Jane Birkin recorded a new album, "Enfants d'Hiver". For the first time she has written all lyrics for an album herself. On the occasion of this recent release, she is currently on tour with some of her most successful songs along with her songs from "Enfants d'Hiver". The new songs are composed by Pierre and Alain Souchon, Alain Lanty, Hawksley Workman, Franck Eulry… The international tour will also take her across France and include two concerts at the legendary Parisian hall Le Palace on 12 and 15 March.

Victoria Abril - On Tour

Victoria Abril is not only the actress discovered by Pedro Almodovar, she also sings and dances. The great success of her first album "Putcheros do Brasil" with over 110 000 copies sold coincided with a triumphant concert tour. Her second album "Olala!" comprises famous French songs transposed to a Flamenco version. Since last summer, Victoria Abril is touring with her new show together with Andalusian Gypsies musicians.

Agnès Jaoui - On Tour

Actress Agnès Jaoui wanted more than giving a singer's voice to the characters she normally interprets ("Le rôle de sa vie", "Comme une image" ...). Therefore, in 2005, she created a show sung in Spanish and Portuguese in which she was joined by a Latin group of musicians. These concerts led to her first album "Canta", which was released by the record label "Tôt ou Tard" and awarded with a "Victoire de la Musique". Following this success, Agnès Jaoui has returned to stage with a new show called "Dans mon pays" (lit. in my country).

For the cinema, Agnès Jaoui has directed her third feature film "Parlez moi de la pluie". Once again she directs herself in this film and also Jean-Pierre Bacri and Jamel Debbouze.

Mísia - On Tour

2008 was a rich year full of events for Mísia. Highlights were a concert in the presence of their Majesties the Queen and the King of Spain at the "Don Quijote Awards" in Madrid, performances of Stravinsky's "The Soldier's Tale" at the Opening of the Grec '08 Festival in Barcelona and also herparticipation at the Salle Gaveau's Centenary Gala in Paris… During 2008 Mísia also developped the idea for her new album "Ruas".

With her new show and album "Ruas" (released in March 2009 by Universal/AZ) she takes the listener on a journey discovering other cultures. During the first part, "Lisoboarium", she takes the listener dreamlike across Lisbon, its streets, its artists and most of all its music. For the second part "Tourists" Mísia has adapted songs from foreing arists in whose music she senses Fadist souls.

Julia Migenes - On Tour

Julia Migenes' extraordinary qualities as an opera singer melt with those of a great actress. At the moment she is preparing her upcoming album "Hollywood Divas" which is planned for release in autumn 2009. During the epononymous show, Julia Migenes interprets the greatest moments of Hollywood Divas. An occasion to revisit the golden age of cinema accompanied by legendary actresses such as Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich and Carmen Miranda.

For another show called "Julia Migenes sings Schubert", she offers a juxtaposition of Schubert Lieder and readings of his correspondence. For this occasion, she will be joined on stage by different actors including Philippe Calvario.

Dominique Blanc - On Tour la Douleur by Marguerite Duras

Since November 2008, Dominique Blanc has been playing in "La Douleur" by Marguerite Duras staged by Patrice Chéreau and Thierry Thieû Niang. This autobiographical story is an excerpt from the diary of Marguerite Duras which she wrote during the Second World War while she was expecting the return of her husband sent to a concentration camp. Alone on stage, Dominique Blanc recalls all the intensity of the "Durassien" novel. It plays between hope norished by the Liberation and the uncertainty of knowing whether her husband is still alive. Dominique Blanc's performance was unanimously welcomed by the critics. Dominique Blanc will present "La douleur" at the Théâtre de l’Atelier in Paris (17 September to 11 October 2009).

Jean-Louis Trintignant - On Tour

Since 2007, Jean-Louis Trintignant has been presenting "The Diary of Jules Renard". For this show inbetween theatre and literature he is joined by the three actors Manuel Durand, Jean-Louis Bérard and Joëlle Belmonte. With a great sense of humour they exchange witticisms from the famous "Journal" by Jules Renard and from the "Sursauts, brindilles et pétards" (lit. jumps, twigs and firecrackers) by Jean-Michel Ribes. This "diary" scathingly portraits human behaviour with truth, cyniscism, poetry and humour.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo - On Tour

Back at the Châtelet theater for six performances between 21 and 26 April 2009, the "Trocks" offer a playful and humorous interpretation of classical ballet.

Paolo Conte - On Tour

Paolo Conte has returned to the studios to record his new album which is scheduled for release in January 2008. In June 2008 "Paolo Symphonique" will be performed for the first time in Lyons (together with the Orchestre Symphonique de Lyon under Bruno Fontaine) and two performances will take place at the Salle Pleyel (Paris) on 5 and 6 September 2008.

Biyouna - On Tour

The Algerian icon Biyouna is also Nadir Miknèche's favoured comedian ("Viva l'Aldjérie", "Délice Paloma"). Her album "Une Blonde dans la casbah" released in 2006 was unanimously welcomed by the critics. On stages in France and abroad, the multi-talented artist also conquered a new public with the show which originated from the recording.

On the theatre front, Biyouna interprets "Célestine" in the eponymous play at the "Vingtième Theatre" in Paris from January 14th until March 1st, 2009. Currently, Biyouna is preparing her first One Women Show and is working on new film projects.

Luz Casal - On Tour

Luz Casal's next album is planned for release in autum 2009. With the new project, she will return to the style of her unforgettalbe song "Piensa en mi" which was used in Pedro Almodovar's film "High Heels". Luz Casal will resume the repertory of Mexican and Cuban ballads of the 1950's and the songs will be further cheered up with a smart groove resulting in an album full of character and fluidity. Luz Casal will be at the Châtelet Theatre on November 10th and 11th 2009 for two exceptional concerts.

Patrice Chéreau - On Tour

Following a tour of "Mausolée des Amants" by Hervé Guibert where he shared the stage with Philippe Calvario, Patrice Chéreau asked the Visiteurs du Soir to organise a tour dedicated to the reading of "The legend of the Great Inquisitor" taken from Dostoyevsky's "Brothers Karamazov". For some time Patrice Chéreau had been on stage himself together with to Dominique Blanc in "La Douleur" by Marguerite Duras. Due to his busy cinematographic schedule he will now concentrate on the stage directing only.

Ute Lemper - On Tour

Presented last December at the National Theatre of Chaillot (Paris), Ute Lemper's new show "Angels over Berlin and the World" is structured in the form of a journey through cities she likes. It starts in Berlin with songs of Kurt Weill and Bertold Brecht, continues with a Yiddish song cycle and with French poetry by Jacques Brel and Léo Ferré.

Mikaël Chirinian
Rapport sur moi by Grégoire Bouillier

Since 4th February Mikaël Chirinian has been playing the role of Grégoire in "Rapport sur moi" (lit. report about myself) at the Tristan Bernad theater. The staging is directed by Anne Bouvier. Alone on stage, Mikaël Chirinian describes Grégoire's childhood and the absurdity of his strange life. The play was positively noted by the critics at the Fringe Festival d'Avignon 2008. It works like a mirrow and between fantasies and laughter invites the viewer to reconsider his or her own life.

Lambert Wilson

Lambert Wilson was the narrator in Leonard Bernstein's operetta "Candide" at the Paris Châtelet Theatre in December 2006 and at the Scala of Milan in July 2007. This was under stage director Robert Carsen and conductor John Axelrod. His first album "Attaché" was very successfully released by Virgin last October. The songs were specially written for him by Marie Nimmier, Boris Bergman and Marc Estève amongst others. For the theatre he is directing and also playing in "Bérénice" together with Carole Bouquet, Fabrice Michel and his father George Wilson at the Bouffes du Nord theatre in Paris from January until March 2008.

Régine

Mademoiselle and her encounters... singing together with artists including Robbie Williams, Jane Birkin, Patrick Bruel, Paolo Conte, Bénabar, Fanny Ardant, Juliette, Arthur H, Boy George and Liza Minelli, Régine is currently re-recording 18 of her most successful titles. The release by AZ / Universal is planned during 2008 and she will be on stage with her show.

Lou Doillon

Lou Doillon saw a tremendous success with the reading of "Intimate Letters" at the Madeleine theatre from 6 March until 25 May 2007. For this programme he read love letters by Apollinaire, Piaf, Maupassant, Colette, Presley, Sade, Staline... The show has been on tour since November 2007. A number of new stage projects are in preparation. Also to note are his participation in the film "Boxes" directed by her mother Jane Birkin as well as her readings at the "Musiques Interdites" in Marseille, the "Festival Nîmes Culture" and the "Correspondances de Manosque" ("Lettres de Calamity Jane à sa fille").

Sami Frey

Sami Frey always presents a repertory of very varied readings: "The Manual of Epictetus", "The Beast of the Jungle" by Marguerite Duras, "The conversations with Jean Paul Sartre" by Simone de Beauvoir. Following the success of Samuel Beckett's "Cap au Pire" at the Theatre de l'Atelier in Paris (7 February to 18 March 2007) a tour across France is scheduled for the end of 2007 and early 2008.

Woody Allen and his New Orleans jazz band

For many years Woody Allen joins every Monday his musician friends at the Carlyle Café in New York City. With the clarinet in his hands he takes a musical break from his rich cinematographic life. For the past five years Les Visiteurs du Soir organise once or twice per season a European tour for this unusual group from the Jazz planet. The latest European tour took place in December 2007. His next visit to the French Capital is planned for the second part of December.

Caetano Veloso

Caetano Veloso is a living legend amongst the Brazilian tropical movement, a Bahian poet, an author, a composer, an interpreter and a guitarist. He is without doubt one of the most respected Brazilian musicians in the world. Following an album and a world tour with standards from the American song ("Foreign Sound"), Caetano Veloso returns with Brazilian songs. The new album "Cê" was released in autumn 2006. A European tour took place in September and October 2007 (including a concert at the Zénith in Paris on 9 October).
