Jane Birkin - Music

After presenting Jane Birkin on stage worldwide for more than 10 years, (42 countries, 500 dates), Jane Birkin dedicates herself to the cinema (she's writing her second screenplay), to the theatre ("The Sentinel" / Wajdi Mouawad) and to great humanitarian fights.

Jane will be once again on tour (International) in October with a tribute to Serge Gainsbourg (on the occasion of 20 years of his death), accompanied by a quartet of Japanese musicians she met at an improvised concert in Tokyo just after the recent tsunami.

Jane also participates in two concerts "Rain dogs revisited", inspired by Tom Waits' classic 1985 album on November 20 in Eindhoven (Muziekgebouw Frits Philips) and on November 22 in Paris (Salle Pleyel). Concerts featuring Arthur H, The Tiger Lillies, Camille O'Sullivan, Stef Kamil Carlens, St. Vincent, Erika Stucky.

La Douleur from Marguerite Duras - Director Patrice Chéreau and Thierry Thieû Niang
Since November 2008, Dominique Blanc has been playing in "La Douleur" by Marguerite Duras staged by Patrice Chéreau and Thierry Thieû Niang. This autobiographical story is an excerpt from the diary of Marguerite Duras which she wrote during the Second World War while she was waiting for the return of her husband sent to a concentration camp. Alone on stage, Dominique Blanc recalls all the intensity of the "Durassien" novel. It plays between hope nourished by the Liberation and the uncertainty of knowing whether her husband is still alive. Dominique Blanc's performance was welcomed by the critics.
